EMT Prep Course Information

What is the difference between the EMT Prep Course and the EMT Completion Course? The EMT Prep Course consists of two modules that must be taken online before enrolling into an EMT Completion Course. The EMT Completion Course includes additional online modules, weekly in-person class sessions, and clinicals.
How do I register/get access? When your EMT Program application is approved, you will be able to register for the EMT Prep Course. Registration for the EMT Prep Course will grant you access to the two courses on our learning management system.
How long does it take to complete? Most students complete both modules in about 30-40 hours.
What are the required materials? Textbook: Prehospital Emergency Care, Mistovich et al. (12th or 11th edition) and Assessment Package: FISDAP EMT Assessment Package with Enhanced Security (Confirm the version on in the EMT Operations course before purchase.)
How is it presented? The course is 100% online. There are no mandatory meeting times for the Prep Course.
What happens if I get stuck or need help? You can schedule a one-on-one virtual meeting with the course director at any time.
I want to start the EMT Completion Course that starts soon. What happens if I don't complete the Prep Course by the time the EMT Completion Course starts? You will not be able to enroll in that EMT Completion Course. But you can enroll in a future EMT Completion Course when you finish the Prep Course.
