Ken Williams

Faculty Biosketch

Ken has been the VCU Health Paramedic Program Director since 2007. Ken has successfully implemented training programs at satellite sites around Virginia and the globe. Through Ken’s leadership, the CTCCE has established training sites at Fairfax (VA) County Fire Department, Albermarle (VA) County Fire Rescue, Roanoke (VA) County Fire Department, Prince George (VA) county, US Army base Fort Lee, and developed and implemented austere medical responder curricula for the countries of Rwanda and Brazil. He has also served as a site visitor for the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (COAEMSP). The VCU Paramedic Program has maintained national accreditation since 2003 and the program has never received a violation during reaccreditation.

Ken has been active in the Richmond, VA regional EMS system for over 40 years. He is a life member of Manchester Volunteer Rescue Squad (Chesterfield County, VA) where he has served as President, Vice President, Chief of Operations, and Deputy Chief of Operations.

Ken holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Master in Divinity from Lexington Theological Seminary, Lexington, KY.
