Intermediate to Paramedic

Current Virginia Intermediate certification required. Course meets 8 hours per week.  Meets twice per week to accommodate fire shifts. (Students only come to one per week.) Course is designed to be accelerated and build on the skills/knowledge of practicing Intermediates. Course will run for about 20-22 weeks.

EMT Academy - Summer Session

The EMT Academy is designed for so that completers have all the certifications and training needed to work or volunteer at an EMS agency.  Includes BLS (CPR), EMS Safety, PHTLS, and EVOC certifications.  Course meets two days per week for in-person sessions that includes facilitated class discussions and hands-on lab sessions;  100% attendance is expected* at all in-person sessions. There is significant online work to complete during this course outside of in-person meetings.

*The program will not meet the weeks of Memorial Day or July 4. Per program policy, 100% attendance is expected; 90% is mandatory.

Hybrid EMT - Fall Session

Most content completed online.  Course meets two evenings per week for in-person sessions that includes facilitated class discussions and hands-on lab sessions.
